Counting down my top 500 songs of all time. I’ll get the first 100 out of the way quickly and then go in more detail, song by song, after that.

#160: "An American Dream" by Love and Rockets
A classic of Eighties psychedelia.
Still a couple more tracks from these British Bauhaus remnants coming up higher in the countdown.

@DannyDrinksWine@Pelicolombianas I am again ambivalent. About half the movie is as brilliant as the critics say. But then sprinkled throughout, like little turds in a punch bowl, are sophomoric grossout jokes that I find extremely annoying.
@DannyDrinksWine@AFCryptid I have an ambivalent take. I consider the first half or more of the movie, especially the whole section with HAL 9000, to be a science fiction masterpiece. The final act with all the dated looking psychedelic effects is definitely a snooze.
