It really wasn't a bluff. Sony can LITERALLY delete your PSN account if you haven't logged in your account in 3 years. Making you lose all your games, your friends, your trophies, everything. And yet they wanna have an all digital future.

My brother who hasn’t turned on his PS3 or used PSN in over 10 years decided to boot up his ps3 to play something that is currently DOWNLOADED on the console.

Licenses are expired and his PSN account is deleted. So games are gone forever

Consumers need to be wary of @Sony becoming an all-digital platform.  Digital media is not ownership of the product.  It is a license that can be revoked.  Delisting a game (the act of removing a product from a digital store so that it is no longer offered) means that customers no longer have access, even if they paid for that access. 

Also, digital products cannot be preserved since no physical medium actually exists to start with.  In addition, once a company like Sony has control over the digital product, they can (and will) dictate the price since competition from physical secondhand markets will no longer exist. 

This means consumers will pay more.  Sony has used incomplete or obscure data to justify their decision but what they're doing serves only one purpose: to elevate their bottom line.  It has nothing to do with consumer trends. #BoycottPlaystation #NoDiscNoBuy

@StormslayerDev this is the legit reason i started homebrewing my ps hardware starting with my vita tv. i bought silent hill origins and couldnt download to my vita from the store. was able to on my ps3 but cant transfer anymore due to sony removing the ability to do fucking wire transfer. HOW?!
