A lawyer named Saiful Islam Alif was killed in a clash demanding the release of ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in Chattogram. Several others were injured in the incident.

..............It is learned that the supporters blocked the police prison van carrying Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in the court premises demanding his release. Failing to remove them despite requests, the police resorted to tear-shells and baton-charge at one stage. After that, the protesters dispersed, came out of the court premises, and took a stand in front of Rangam Convention Hall in Laldighi.

Meanwhile, in the absence of law and order forces, clashes between the two groups took place. Many were injured. They were rescued and taken to the hospital where the doctor declared Saiful Islam Alif dead.......

.............On this day, the protesters vandalized the windows of the central mosque at the court, three private cars, and five motorcycles of the lawyers.

Earlier, in the afternoon, the court denied bail to ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das in the sedition case for insulting the national flag and sent him to jail. After that, his supporters started protesting in the court area.
