People often get confused or self-righteous when I say that I'm not a communist or not a Marxist because they don't understand what it means to be one. They think simply using the label or liking the ideas makes one rather than it being something one becomes through the
@GBsirius16 Unita wasn't Maoist, and that has nothing to do with Pinochet or Marcos who he didn't back, and Pol Pot wasn't a Maoist. The CPK were heavily influenced by Chairman Mao and his policies but they weren't Maoist.
This is hollow pagentry that hides the nature of the current Chinese state being something Chairman Mao and the trek revolutionaries of the party fought against. It fools the Dengists because they're easily distracted by aesthetics.
@GBsirius16@KottuKadeNeko@GooseplanJD Did Marx, Lenin and Chairman Mao use the term like that? Or do they get a pass because you can pretend they weren't calling out the types of things you now support because it's done under a red flag?
@coolterrorism@DenttDentt They're doing capitalism just like China, sure, and being able to resist aggression from imperialist backed states is an achievement that no Dengite group has had.
@AimAssistMikey How? Market forces dominate China more than they during Chairman Mao's time and the bourgeois are still permitted into the party, which they weren't under Chairman Mao or even Deng.
@YangYi35471 Deng was attacked and purged by Chairman Mao and you are purposely misunderstanding why he preferred rightists, it wasn't because he aligned with them politically.
@dokucs4@wuzuiyouli1966 Deng's reform and opening up were an adoption of reforms and policies proposed by Liu Shaoqui and other rightists that were attacked and purged by Chairman Mao. He actively opposed those things during his life.
