@lilah_sturges When I was still working retail I listened to Friends, Lovers, Favorites by HIRS. Got me through every bit of harassment, dysphoria, and pain I felt. I dont know if I would have made it without Jenna's rage to prop me up and tell me it was okay.
I had to do a cover of @PLACEBOWORLD before the end of 2019. It was just too important for me to avoid going to this track, even if it meant a lot of exorcisms and introspection.

We love our old sound, but really, we've gone as far as we can go with synthwave, there's other people doing it really well, and it's not speaking to me right now. Maybe I'll do another synthwave album in the future, but for now, we're staying to my roots.
I have a rough mix of the thesis statement of the next album and I'm gonna keep putting it out there: This is gonna be a punk album that happens to have synths. This is gonna be a punk album that happens to have synths.
@lilah_sturges One time when I was like 18, I got a chance to talk to Jerry Cantrell and Layne Stayley on the phone, and they sent me a CD of Alice In Chains "Greatest Hits" thing.
@EloraEdwards Straight up: even if you werent transitioning or a vision of beauty, to disrespect someone about their chosen name is uncalled for and fuck that noise.
@Staya_Stray @CelticAnarchy This.
I have passing priv. I never liked circles, because when I was a boy, I didnt have the courage to say 'she', and now that I am a woman, I feel like my gender is questioned almost exclusively when I'm in those spaces.
I understand their need. I just dont LIKE them FOR ME
@cattimes8 And I have no issue with being out about being trans. My whole last album came out on an arguably top 5 industrial label and it's all about my transition, and loudly.
I'm doing my part.
I just have complicated emotions about this one thing
@cattimes8 Listen, I hated pronoun circles when I was a boy, because I didnt have the guts to just flat out say 'she her'.
Am I not allowed to say 'this sucks for me and I have complicated and conflicting opinions about this practice.' Because I blend?
@cattimes8 @ContraPoints That's not at all what I'm saying, you're putting words where none exist.
I'm saying that, as someone who does subscribe to presentation theory, that it hurts when _I_ have my gender in the spotlight.
I understand the utility of pronoun circles. I dont have to LOVE them.
@ContraPoints Specifically, I didn't lean heavily into learning makeup, changing my dress, relearning how to speak, retraining my walk, and learning hyper feminine coding to be told "your presentation doesnt matter soreeeeee", especially by fellow queers.
@ContraPoints Which does not Invalidate other peoples needs or desires, and I'm more than happy to do the thing. But it sure does make me feel like I'm in a very specific spotlight that I Dont Want To Be In.
