@0xstark@ethereum I do not understand why some of the big L2s do not start a grassroot marketing program to pay Tron USDT users to switch to transacting USDT on their L2. Seems like the most strategic thing the EF could help them do...
@toghrulmaharram ETH will never be money but stablecoins probably will. And they run on Ethereum. So probably really important to make sure we optimize the network for that use case and keep these discussions going, no?
@Leishman Since 2 weeks ago (Pectra release), you can hold staked ETH, get value accrual, and when you need to, pay in USDT with one single click where it does stETH -> ETH -> USDT conversion + payment transparently. Literally a high yield checking account.
@danjablonski@solana@base is now 5x cheaper and will soon have 200ms block times. There is obviously space for both, but for the first time in its existence, Solana is going to compete against faster and cheaper blockchains with big $ behind it. Should be interesting!
Ethereum fundamentals have been very strong this past year. Rollup activity has gone from 73tps to 269tps, a 3.7x multiple, and all the largest rollups have become much cheaper and more decentralized.
@joemccann Base, Starknet and Arbitrum are faster and 10x cheaper than Solana. I actually think AI agents will onboard on even cheaper platforms. Solana has no chance on price alone imho.
@KyleSamani Would suggest your rebalance your crypto portfolio from SOL to ETH, because once Meta and Google are on ETH, Coinbase is going to look small.
