@RogeeRoger@TigoODonnell It just like some old movie cliche's, if you make one nowadays with alot of them, of course people aren't gonna like it compare to the ones made decades ago when they weren't well... cliche's. you don't just go "Well you guys didn't have a problem with this trope 50 years ago!"
People purposely conflate accessibility to mean "ease of difficulty" and it continually pisses me off. I need actual accessibility features like contrast settings and bloom/motion blur toggled. What I don't need is ten shiny lights telling me where to go.
Why is it that every time people defend “accessibility” in games it’s for mechanics that literally treat the player like a drooling moron and not stuff like color blind settings?
Comic fans want to encourage mcu fans to read comics because it’s FUN to read comics. Do they not get that? They’re picture books. They’re fun. You will have fun
one way you can tell gaming discourse is cooked because a simple statement like this gets met with thought-terminating "contempt for the medium" despite how for the longest it was, in fact, seen as good for people making works to be inspired by other mediums.
