Simple test to figure out if your feedback is working. After students receive feedback, ask them what they plan to learn next.

If they can't, they are seeing isolated pieces of data but not processing them to derive meaning.

STEM is hard for everyone. Grades ultimately aren’t what matter. Curiosity and perseverance matter.
