Successful entrepreneurs share three predictive qualities regardless of background: cynicism (realistic worldview without illusions), insecurity (constant alertness to problems), and perseverance (persistence through challenges)
@catalinmpit Try this instead:
1- I can make viral content about an idea
2- I am pretty sure I can build an audience with the viral content
3- I build the idea
I don't care if it is already there

THE PROBLEM
Most ASA guides tell you to group keywords into campaigns. But when 20 keywords share one
campaign, you can't tell which keywords drive revenue and which ones bleed budget. Apple shows
installs, not subscription revenue.
THE FIX
Wily App creates one isolated exact-match campaign per keyword. Each keyword's spend, installs,
and revenue are individually measurable.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Paste your keyword list — we bulk-create isolated campaigns in Apple Search Ads
2. RevenueCat integration shows real per-keyword subscription revenue
3. Stop-loss flags losers for pause before they drain your budget
4. The Orchestrator (Pro) manages bids and budgets on your rules
"Optimizing the wrong layer" is the whole post. Even once you've validated and go back to ads, the same trap waits: dashboards show installs, not whether that specific install ever pays. Most people still optimize on installs because revenue-per-source is hard to see. Once you re-run ads post-validation, how would you track which channel actually drives payers, not just installs?
Strong start for 16 days. One thing on the trial A/B test: trials usually convert worse than a hard paywall for the first week, then win on retention
so the metric you judge it on decides which variant "wins." Are you planning to measure it on day-1 conversion or 30-day revenue per install?
126 Apple Search Ads campaigns. 1 keyword each. Exact match.
A solo dev physically cannot run this manually — that's the point.
Bulk-created in a few clicks. Losers auto-flagged (118 paused). 8 winners running at $2.86 CPA, 66% CR.
The suggestions are automated. I just approve. Found the 6% that work without living in the dashboard.
Apple Search Ads, the way I run it now:
→ 126 campaigns, 1 keyword each, all exact match → 118 paused after they proved they wouldn't convert → 8 winners still running
$874 spend · 306 installs · $2.86 CPA · 66% CR
Here's the thing: no solo dev runs 126 isolated campaigns by hand. Creating them was a few clicks. The kill/scale suggestions are automated. I just monitor and approve.
Most keywords lose. The game is finding the 8 that don't — without spending your life in the dashboard. #buildinpublic
Good moves, especially mining search queries for negatives early. One thing on the slow pace: $10/day across 4 countries is ~$2.50 each, so each keyword takes weeks to gather enough taps to trust the TTR/CVR numbers. If budget's tight, might be worth concentrating it on 1-2 campaigns to get clean signal faster, then expand once you know what works.
The tell is they're traffic-ranked, not relevance-ranked angry birds + hayday next to chat-ai keywords. Apple's just surfacing popular terms and hoping. Funny part: the cheap relevant ones (polybuzz $1.20, chai $1.60) are buried under expensive irrelevant ones. Do you mine the cheap-relevant ones or skip the list entirely?
Strong momentum. One thing as you add ASA: the user mindset flips. TikTok users are interrupted mid-scroll — you convince them. Apple search ads users are actively searching for what you do; they're warmer, but they compare you against the top organic result.
Your funnel may convert even better there, just for different reasons. Worth watching separately.
