@Brraydo@Hawksbythesea@ethanabuck I think about my childhood friend. Iโd love to change the way he thinks. But heโs a hermit in his house. Work and online video games. Thatโs not healthy. Itโs another form of toys.
@Hawksbythesea@Brraydo@ethanabuck I Lego with my kids. But we also run a hobby sawmill. We cut and split firewood. Our hobbies for the most part make our lives better. If we cut wood and sell some the money goes into a stock account they can access when they become adults. They have a blast doing productive work.
@Brraydo@Hawksbythesea@ethanabuck If your a adult and your hobby is on par with playing with Lego there is something wrong. If youโre doing this with your kids then yes. Build a shed with actual dimensional lumber and sell it. Be productive and not stuck inside playing Lego by yourself.
@brucefenton Back in the day I was a summer railroad bridge foreman in central to northern Maine. I went out and pulled beaver dams out all summer. It was probably the best job I ever had. Battling nature on the daily. Fun times and the pay was great.
@Grizzly660xp We also do the homeschooling co-op. 3 days a week. Great community. Doing some big fundraising over the summer to really enrich the program. Public schools are a failed embarrassment on so many levels.
