My prediction is 85. "Great glow-up of a classic game, looks stunning and plays even better. But Nintendo played it safe with a distinct lack of new features." Hoping for better of course!
Now I'm officially ready for Starfox to drop this week on switch 2 :) What's your metacritic score prediction for tomorrow? Do a barrel roll and drop your predictions below #switchmob#switchcorps
Love me some Skyward Sword. Controls are fine, but the dungeon design (especially Ancient Cistern and Sandship), plot, and Demise were all extremely well done. If only Fi wasn't such a nuisance!! #zelda
okay letβs say weβre playing tag with zelda enemies, which one would you be terrified to have run after you
i think i would actually pass out if the skyward sword guardians came after me
Knicks fans discovered basketball what, game 2 of the Eastern Conference semis last year and suddenly they all think they are officiating experts π€£π€£ dumbest fan base in the league #nba#knicks
See a lot of people saying this will be the start of all Zelda games getting remade and I have to say I donβt think so and I hope not.
Ocarina is a very special case, I donβt think games like WW and TP need full remakes at least not for a LONG time.
Link: OoT
Zelda: TP - I love that she is so loyal to her duty and the kingdom (Tetra is a DAMN close second though!)
Ganon: Wind Waker. Kind of more sympathetic in this one, with his speech about coveting the cool winds

Crochet hurt worse than expected. Anthony hurt worse than expected. What the hell is going on in Boston? Misinformation from Breslow et al or a completely incompetent medical team?? #redsox#mlb
Yeah, I enjoy some open world experiences, but there are so many pros to more structured narrative and progression systems. The Wild Era Zelda games had zero sense of progression or development for me as I worked through them. Amazing worlds, not so great #Zelda games for me
@_overdreaming_ I can support that. It's a very classical tale and I dig it. Not my personal taste but that's all it is, just personal taste. Well presented!
I don't mind the "marked for destiny" explanation, but I HATE it as a trope. I'd prefer the hero be someone who naturally rose to the occasion when dark times fell, not someone who was always "destined" to be hero. Just my opinion #zelda
So while A LOT of people are confused by the idea of
"What? LINK ALREADY HAS THE TRIFORCE AS A KID? That's now how Ocarina of Time goes!"
Once again, I don't believe this means he already has the Triforce, rather he is ALREADY MARKED for Destiny.
We have seen this before in other Zelda games, previously the Adventure of Link and Skyward Sword as examples, where Link was marked with the Triforce Symbol to show his destiny of treading the path to Hero.
And AT same time, this could just be a visual concept for the Teaser
#OcarinaofTime
@_overdreaming_ So that's kind of where I'm getting at - beyond Zelda being the blood of Hylia, is there any reason Link NEEDS to be connected to any other version? Does he need to be reincarnated or descended or anything like that? I like the idea of each iteration standing on his own
@_overdreaming_ Technically you could name the character anything for most of the series. The whole idea was he was an avatar for the player, a "link" to the character if you will. Each of us who picked up the controller became the hero. But that's way beyond where I intended for this haha
@JinOreki74490 It's all good either way, and fun to debate! I just stand by my original point: I don't like the "child of destiny" trope. Whether that's the whole point of the series or not is great discussion
@JinOreki74490 I would say he earned the right to be the Hero and get the Ocarina and Rauru's blessing. One was destined to appear, Link happened to fit the bill. It's like the legend of the Nerevar in Morrowind. There was a legend, your pc just happened to meet the criteria
@Db_DocGracie I think it actually bothered me a LOT more in Twilight Princess when Ganondorf had it. In that timeline, Young Link and Zelda stopped him before he ever obtained the Triforce. So him having it appear at his execution seemed silly
@JinOreki74490 He didn't just give him the spiritual stone, Link earned it by cleansing the evil inside him (albeit a little too late). The Deku Tree sensed he could impact the world. Doesn't have to mean he was literally chosen by the goddesses to hold the Triforce
@JinOreki74490 Eh to an extent. Maybe the Great Deku Tree just saw awesome potential in Link at the time evil was encroaching on the land. Knew he had a courageous spirit and so he could rise to the occasion
