A really welcome appointment of @Jess4Lowestoft by @wesstreeting.
Our specialist young women's services in A&Es daily see young victims of VAWG. We know that health services play a crucial role in identifying victims and working in partnership with expert support providers.
Tackling violence against women and girls is everyone’s problem – including our NHS.
Very grateful that @Jess4Lowestoft joins us as our new Violence Against Women and Girls Adviser.
Her expertise will help us spot victims across the NHS sooner and give them the help they need.
In our work supporting young victims of violence in A&Es, we see how this harm could have been prevented.

A brilliant @StreetDoctors campaign to prevent knife crime!
From our work supporting young victims of violence in A&Es, we know that there's just one answer to the #FatalQuestion: there is no safe body part to stab somebody, anywhere can be deathly.
👇 Watch and share the film
🚨A single stab wound can kill.
Our new campaign The Fatal Question tackles this myth head-on, revealing the real stories of young people who lost their lives to single stab wounds, shared by their families.
🎥Watch the film. Share the message. Help StreetDoctors save lives.
Young people need to have a say in creating the policies and decisions that affect their lives. #WeSeeYourPower

Thank you @FloEshalomi for raising this important question about girls impacted by violence, and to @YvetteCooperMP for committing to #YoungFutures support.
One third of the young victims of violence we support are girls. They need tailored services: https://t.co/XAF82NsmK8
The Young Futures programme must build on the work of the likes of @Abianda1 and @MilkHoneyBees in providing support for gang associated girls in our area and across the country.
You can see me raise this in Parliament to the Home Secretary below:
