The WKU YMLA is accepting applications for 9th and 10th graders. The WKU YMLA is a college preparation and recruitment initiative, that develops leadership skills in young males of diverse backgrounds by exploring the teaching profession.

The WKU Young Male Leadership Academy closed another year with the End-of-the-year Celebration last Thursday, where five students graduated from the program and Mr. Michael Coleman received The Silent Hero Award. Congratulations and thank you Mr. Coleman!

Congratulations to Julia Rivas, Recruitment Coordinator for WKUโs Equity and Diversity in Teaching and Young Male Leadership Academy Coordinator. Rivas was recognized with the Educators Rising Champion Award-Teacher Leader Division at the @EducatorsRising National Conference.
And to close the first part of the WKU Young Male Leadership Academy Summer Camp yesterday, our students enjoyed a delicious dinner while learning dining etiquette. Special thanks to Mrs. Shannon Hicks for the presentation, the @wkurg and Catering team for sponsoring the dinner.
