Outstanding remarks by @chiproytx - especially when he talks about Battle of the Bulge.
Worth noting that many military leaders (ex: Adm Mike Mullen) think the greatest long-term threat to the country that the Greatest Generation fought for is our debt.

A few - but most are shrugging. It’s ridiculous. It does not matter who the President is, we should be fighting egregious spending levels. This bill blows 2019 levels by $50BB...
I still haven’t seen $ Trillion omni spending bill(s) - hundreds of pages of utter crap that will be jammed down throats of Congress & American people by the swamp to force vote before Christmas. @realDonaldTrump should reject it. #DoOurJob
Some conservative Republicans (myself included) will oppose this spending binge, but unfortunately the majority of Republicans will hold hands with the Democrats and cast any fiscal caution to the wind . . . https://t.co/3MOjrZTqLm
@jbydlak@inkstickmedia@ReformSpending@washingtonpost@realDonaldTrump To quote the report, “After 18 years at war, mistakes are myriad and documented, but ruminating on mistakes will neither bring back lives lost nor refund money spent. Lawmakers must instead learn from the past and create a better path forward by rethinking Afghanistan.”
"From a strategic perspective, it is immediately clear that something has gone terribly wrong.” @jbydlak details the findings of his new report on Afghanistan today on the site.

The national debt has been doubling every 10 years:
‘89 $2.9T
‘99 $5.7T
‘09 $11.9T
‘19 $23T
At this rate, in about 20 yrs, the debt will be about $100 trillion. In the absence of something cataclysmic, many will be as numb to $100 T as they are to $23 T. This can’t end well.
