The only reason people are dying is because Putin invaded.

But the reason more people are dying than could have been is that the U.S. disregarded the guarantees it gave Ukraine when persuading it to give up nuclear weapons.

Every single one of your tweets, Elon, every decision Trump makes these days—only increases, rather than decreases, the number of casualties. Until the dictator Putin is confronted, he will keep killing. You could see this in 2008, in 2014, and over the past three years. By justifying dictator Putin and taking his side, you are soaking your hands in the blood of Ukrainian citizens up to the elbows. You are an accomplice to genocide—that is how history will remember you. You still have a chance to leave a different legacy, but knowing you, I doubt you will take it.

Ukrainians, Americans, and the entire civilized world will hate you. The only ones who will remember you as a "good guy" are dictators like Putin and Xi—but I doubt they will outlive you. So the best legacy awaiting you and your ego is the fame of Herostratus. Ask yourself—is that what you want?
