On the 2nd day of the meeting, we continued our discussions on the #REECOL project's progress and future activities. The general conclusion is that we are on the right track!
Last week, the #REECOL consortium gathered (in person and online) for a two-day project progress meeting hosted by @VUHU_Most
DAY 1: after the coordinator’s overview of the project’s progress, workshops were held focusing on Deliverables 4.5, 5.3, and 6.1. https://t.co/3Dtu0H7jBj
Tests of a novel non-contact #soil#remediation#technology developed in #REECOL are being continued at the “Północ” coal waste heap in Jankowice (Poland). The field activities are carried out by @ItgKomag.
In #REECOL, #soilSampling is carried out to #monitor#rehabilitation progress on #postmining areas and assess the impact of solutions and processes (developed in the project) applied there.

#REECOL project objectives and results were presented at #KOMEKO2026 through a presentation delivered by the project coordinator, Poltegor-Instytut, and the project informational banner displayed throughout the conference.
Our monthly online meeting took place last week. We've discussed among others preparations of upcoming #REECOL progress meeting in Czechia, project workshops and final conference, as well as work progress in work packages WP 5 and WP 6.
@soils4europe Repost made! :) In #REECOL project we focus on land rehabilitation in post-mining areas. Soil health is among key issues in our research and development activities. Thus, the conference surely should be of interest of both the project partners and the project target audience.
Soil pollution might sometimes be invisible, but it is always dangerous - it threatens our food, our water, and our health. 🧪

In #landrehabilitation, ensuring compliance, #environmental integrity, and long-term #sustainability requires more than checklists. A structured, practical, and field-adaptable auditing framework, like Ecological Rehabilitation Audit Tool that has been developed in #REECOL.
Our monthly online meeting took place last Friday. The issues discussed included among others: #REECOL progress meeting in Czechia, workshops to be held this year, review of Audit Catalogue (one of results of our project), work on Deliverable D4.5.
