@POTUS Start by demanding that the Dept of Ed implement the Joint Consolidated Loan Separation Act. It's been law of the land since October of '22. @usdoegov
refuses to implement it. @Navient
won't place loans in Administrative Forbearance pending its implementation. @SC_DoUsPart
@SecCardona@POTUS Biden signed the joint consolidation loan separation act in October 2022! Ball is in your court! What are YOU doing to implement the law and to fight for joint spousal loan holders?!
@SecCardona@usedgov Yes. That does suck, sir. You do have the power still to help Joint Spousal Student Loan holders though. We are still waiting 8 months later for you to separate our loans. It is solely in your hands now and we have been waiting and waiting. @SC_DoUsPart
@SecCardona I work a second job for the sole reason of making my student loan payments. If you appreciate me, you would separate my FFEL Joint Spousal Consolidated Loan soon and not wait until the end of 2024 (at the earliest). Please help us!
@SecCardona Yes! And when in power, they will reverse PL117-200. That is why you need to separate our FFEL Joint Spousal Consolidated Loans NOW!!! Before it's too late. If it's too complicated to figure out the process or if you don't have the funding, then just cancel all JSCLs.
@AdamSMinsky@GBetheil@usedgov@SecCardona
Victims are begging you to implement the JCLSA so they can begin to rebuild their lives after decades of Eco Abuse. @SC_DoUsPart
Please, execute Public Law 117-200. We were excluded from pymt pause so victims paying abuser's loan right now! Today!
@usedgov@FAFSA Public school teacher 23+ yrs in a high needs area. Can't qualify for PSLF, or any other forgiveness, or even payment pause...until DoE follows the law and separates my FFEL Joint Spousal Consolidated Loans. Please help us, make this a priority.
@usedgov@FAFSA Follow the law and separate FFEL Joint Spousal Consolidated Loans now! It's been over 6 months since the law was enacted. I can't qualify for PSLF or any other program until you do.
@FSACOO@usedgov When will you implement PL 117-200? Until you do your job in executing the law, Joint borrowers are still paying bc servicers are waiting on you & they threaten default. Yet again, borrowers being harmed by Servicers & Dept of Ed while patting themselves on the back.
@usedgov Why dont you MAKE HISTORY by ENDING the
MOST Disastrous Student Loan type perpetrated on WOMEN!
The one where they can't escape their abuser!
Prioritize the WOMEN SUFFERING TODAY...AT THIS VERY MOMENT because they took out a SL to educate themselves & to serve.
PL 117-200 NOW!
@militia_2022@SecCardona@POTUS There are SL borrowers who have not had a pause & interest continues to grow for Joint Consolidation Loan borrowers. I pay approx $788 mth & $788 goes straight to Nelnet investors but @SecCardona is too busy to be bothered to do his sworn duty to execute laws.
@usedgov Put your money where your mouth is...If you wont fix this 👇 after victims gave everything they had to convince Congress & @POTUS to pass JCLSA then how can anyone believe you'd do anything for the next generation.
@usedgov@usedgov, we won’t have equitable & just policy for women until you stop making them carry & pay the burden of their abuser’s student loans. At a minimum pause their payments while you work towards implementing the law signed by @POTUS on Oct. 11, 2022: 117-200! @SC_DoUsPart
@SecCardona I agree…even teachers who still possess UNLAWFUL joint consolidation loans. The law passed 10/12/22 so that we could access the PSLF but we continue to pay. Please enforce the law and help us. Thank you
@SecCardona Know what would help this mother of four more than that? You implementing the JOINT SPOUSAL CONSOLIDATION LOAN SEPARATION ACT. We’ve been waiting for 160+ days.
@SecCardona Is that all you should do to TRULY celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth?
As a woman, Id appreciate it if you'd actually DO something to end SL economic abuse so WOMEN can stop paying their abuser's student loans.
When will you let those of us with JOINT SPOUSAL CONSOLIDATION LOANS have our day of celebration? Please give us ANY update on the process to separate and then qualify. We’ve been waiting over 150 days. 🦗
