The #Cardinals walloped @CapSheetNFL’s #Pirates yesterday, and #AlbertPujols slugged two HR’s in the process (682, 683). He improves to .231/.333/.446 on the season and is 7th on the team in OPS. He’s on pace for 12 more dingers to put him at 695. @Cardinals give him more PA’s!

The Braves’ AA team, meanwhile, finished its game in 1 hour, 48 minutes last night.

The pitch clock’s benefits are clear and obvious. The key is finding the right balance between time/pace and game quality.

However, together they are hitting .192 (41-214) with a 34.6% K-rate. Yikes! Not a great start for the next gen.
