Why are men expected to be strong all the time?
If a man says he’s struggling, people tell him to toughen up.
If he opens up, he’s called weak.
Then we wonder why so many men suffer in silence.
Something has to change.
@Elenabardyf But expecting a man to provide while bringing nothing to the relationship, or judging his worth only by his money, is a different conversation. Having standards is fine, so is expecting mutual effort and responsibility.
@kellyagmmm I don’t support feminism. Men and women can never be equal, and honestly, the fact that she needs a man to protect her kind of proves my point.
@muheediva01 “Just work harder and hire a cleaner” So a man should work himself to death so you don’t have to contribute at home? That’s not partnership, that’s entitlement.
@Ramkish68725686 Saying he’s not your parent doesn’t mean he has no right to have boundaries. Your partner has every right to decide what he will and won’t accept in a relationship.
@Ramkish68725686 I don’t think any man wants to be with a woman who lacks intelligence. Men aren’t scared of intelligent women, that’s not the point. If you’re intelligent but have zero respect, they’ll simply stay away. That’s not fear, that’s protecting their peace and personality.
Someone is finally saying what’s on my mind. Respect and cherish your man. A lot of men carry so much quietly, always thinking about their family, bills and how to make things better, sometimes forgetting themselves in the process. They may not always talk about it, but that doesn’t mean they don’t go through a lot. Give your man his flowers while he’s here.
Being a good woman doesn’t mean you gain nothing. You gain peace, self-respect, genuine relationships, trust and a good name. You can still have boundaries and refuse to let people take advantage of you. Being good doesn’t mean you’re being foolish. Sometimes the reward is simply knowing you stayed true to yourself.
You can call it equality if you want but I’m not going to argue with the Bible to please anyone . Ephesians 5:23 says, “the husband is the head of the wife.” Being the head doesn’t make a woman useless or voiceless. Some of you hear “leadership” and immediately hear “control.” That’s the problem.
Marriage is not punishment, and loving your husband doesn’t mean giving up your life. You can get married, have children, build a career, chase your goals and still enjoy your life.
Cooking, cleaning and caring for your family can come from love, not slavery. And nobody is saying you should accept cheating or lose yourself in a marriage. The right person should be your partner, not your burden. Life is about balance, love and building together.
Who said I’m being controlled? I respect my man and I understand his role in the home. To me, a man being the head doesn’t mean a woman is weak or has no voice. We can both have a say, but I’m comfortable respecting his leadership. That’s my choice, not control. We are not weak rather wise.
Men can definitely learn these skills, but let’s be honest, women are naturally more caring and home-focused. That’s why many of us wake up thinking about food, cleaning and making the home comfortable. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not weakness, it’s just how many women are wired.
“Carrying a man’s child” is a strange way to put it. Isn’t it your child too? 😂 50/50 or 100/100 shouldn’t even be the main issue in a healthy relationship. My money is his and his money is mine. We save together, plan together and enjoy what we have together. Please, girls, stop making everything a competition. It’s your child too, not just “a man’s child.”
@Oyctttty@camillaroseart So before feminism, women couldn’t read, earn money or use a phone? 😂 Please, history is bigger than feminism. Women can be educated, work, have money and still be good wives and mothers. You don’t have to hate traditional values just to prove you’re a modern woman.
@Margeryah8 But independence doesn’t mean you stop compromising, respecting your partner or working together. A healthy relationship is not about who tolerates who. It’s about two people who value and respect each other. You can be a strong woman without making every man your enemy.
