@RAIL I believe the oldest bridge still in use for railway service is to be found on the Paisley Canal line - it was in use for many years as a canal bride before conversion to rail use.
We did indeed...and here's a vid of Tornado stepping off the bridge and heading for Darlington North Road. Well done NR for cleaning up the bridge and its surround so that it can be widely enjoyed in this important anniversary year. Good job.
Honour to be promoted to Head of News Print and Digital on @RAIL, leading our unrivalled news coverage. And as for the digital offering across the app, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, well, we have ideas and youโve seen nothing yet!
For now though, Iโm off to Paris. Bon Voyage!
Very proud to have been appointed @RAILโs deputy. I never would have thought it when I joined the mag 12 years ago. Feeling lucky to work with amazing people @paul_rail and @Clinnick1 who also have great new roles. Looking forward to exciting times when I return in the new year!
@IanProsser7 We do need to think very carefully about the inherent future risks and costs of proprietary software in current digital signalling proposals.
I think @Clinnick1 may qualify for Scotlandโs Order of Merit ๐ His โScotland shows the wayโ Comment in latest RAIL is going down rather well in the corridors of power north of Hadrianโs Wall!
Brake test 5th September - good chance for some photos ahead of the launch. Also shows the Dales at their autumn best on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway @ERailway
