As a therapist, I sometimes struggle and feel helpless. Some client’s pain comes from circumstances I can’t change.
All I can offer is presence and hope that being there makes the unbearable a little more survivable.

One of my clients once told me “My excitement level is grey lately, faded, non existent” I replied, it is okay if your day is grey, your level of excitement is low, and you can’t see vibrant colors. The most important thing is to find your inner strength to try and color it.
