2/ We cannot underestimate the barriers that refugees and asylum seekers face in the UK. The hostile environment is a huge one, but also things as simingly simple as a translating a diploma can be unaffordable for many and can leave people out of good employment opportunities.

1/ This year we had the privilege to meet Isabela, whom we support to get her university diploma officially translated from Spanish to English. Since then, she has gotten in touch to tell us this helped her to pursue further education and applied to some jobs!

#ThrowBack to February when AC Ceilidh held a charity Ceilidh for us in Aberdeen 💃 🕺 . We danced the night away and the event raised £4300 for us. This money will cover courses for Scottish refugees. What a night and what amazing support!

We are so grateful to Phastar who recently donated 45 laptops to us and which we have distributed to refugees and asylum seekers. These will help them to access online courses, university studies and apply for jobs. Thank you 🙏

A bit of good news 🤩

In February a refugee approached us because he had been accepted for a PhD in Industrial Engineering but couldn't afford the fees.

Thanks to our donors, we could contribute towards these fees. Now he is starting his PhD and hopes to be a teacher one day.

When Jason left South Sudan, his phone got wet and stopped working, cutting him off from his family and making it harder to contact lawyers and other supports whilst in the UK.

Through our friends at @Care4Calais we gave him a smartphone so he can stay connected.
