Relax, reflect, restart!
I've decided that, with Malaysia heading back towards normal, it is time to restart my education blogging. New site, new goals. Please take a look! Thank you. https://t.co/oXi6BadaZn
If you've ever fancied a stint overseas or you are looking for your next overseas move, we've got a primary position available here in Bali! They don't come up often but we've had a restructure, opening a role. If you have any questions, drop a DM #Edchat

Anyone who has moved to BYOD in school and uses Google, did you stipulate Android devices/Chromebooks or allow a mix? I can't see a problem with parents buying iPads, for example, but some teachers would like us to stick to one type. Thanks #EdTech#Edutwitter#EdChat
I'm now @edpuzzle Coach25 certified! An enjoyable few hours and I've got many new ideas of how to use Edpuzzle (and spell it) in my classroom to enhance learning AND I'm ready to deliver some of these to the rest of the Primary team. Thanks @FlippedTECHer for the session!
Planning the next session for the end of this month with my bible. As we move to BYOD in upper primary and 1:2 devices in lower, we want to unpack why we are using technology in a lesson, not just what or how. #Edtech#edchat#edutwitter
I recently led the first of a few sessions with staff considering how we are going to change our approach to technology in the classroom so that it suits our pedagogical beliefs and the learning in our classroom. Inspired by @FionaAS
A soaking wet ride home from work yesterday, up half the night due to thunderstorms and a soaking wet ride in this morning. It seems that this year's rainy season has FINALLY arrived
@clos_gm A4: All students are different but need to be exposed to all ways. I really try hard to ensure they gather information from all different types of media. It's easy to just give the internet but not always effective, especially without scaffolding! #PubPDAsia
@clos_gm A3: Trickier question. With Primary students we are exposing them to AI but using it in a creative way (generating images, editing designs etc). This still encourages the student to be creative to get what they want. #PubPDAsia
@clos_gm A2: Games! After a great ISC webinar on Monday, I want to integrate eSports into our ECA programme next academic year. So many skills on display when children are gaming, skills that will be essential in the future world. #PubPDAsia
@clos_gm A1: We hosted a coffee morning/workshop with parents where they brought their children's devices for support with setting limits. We also put the responsibility back on parents. They are in control and must also manage their own screen time! We also celebrated the power of tech
Enjoyed this session last night. Implementing some eSports for our upper primary children is something I'm definitely keen to do in 2025/26, as part of our ECA program to begin with. Thank you @DaigonEsports@ISC_Research#EdTech#Edchat#edutwitter

This is the first paragraph from one of the articles this month and it is so thought provoking. Would be a great PSHE discussion in high school classes (maybe not with my year 4's) #Edchat#Edutwitter

@amala_edu But they have been so enthusiastic and shown great empathy. However, most importantly, they realise that refugees are people too, just like them (to begin with they saw them as something different and were quite stereotypical).
This may sound like such a simple request and maybe it is, but does anyone have a genuinely good quality online children's dictionary they use regularly with their students? Online ones always seem lacking or behind a paywall. Is it worth paying for one? #EdChat#Edutwitter
@CanvaEdu hey guys, have the limits for Magic Media been lowered? Haven't used it for a while with my students but they now only have 50 credits compared to 500 previously and I have a very random 19. That's not many credits for me to demonstrate prompts with multiple classes.
