@IrishSunOnline The thousands that get approved work permits will mainly be issued with a General Work Permit and this excaberates the financial dilemma of the family members that will join 12 months later who will be restricted in their efforts obtain work. #FamilyFirst
@IrishSunOnline What about the Non-EU/EEA living in Ireland under Stamp 3 conditions? We are the spouse of General Work Permit holders who want to work and yet we are struggling to get employed because of our immigration residency visa which stipulates, not allowed to work? #ReformStamp3
I was the one who got sick, but what if it had been my husband? There should at least be some sort of fast track for Stamp3 holders to follow once they receive a job offer. We just wanna work and pay our taxes. It's unreal, I never thought it would be so hard when I agreed to it.
My story is I had some savings to study here while I was on the Stamp3 visa. It's hard to choose between your career and living with the love of your life. But I chose to stay with him. I bought a course and shortly after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
The rise of the cost of living has made our life in Ireland very limited. We dream of saving to buy a home or a car, or even starting a family, but how? To me this visa should not exist. It's dehumanizing, it steals from you productive years and leaves your family vulnerable.
However you can job hunt and find a company to go through the work permit process. The obstacles are: Find that company that will hire you AND be willing to wait for the Work Permit Approval before you start working!I forgot to mention this job must not be on the Ineligible List
Today was another hard day. A Stamp 3 resident asking if there is anything we can do to help her. Her husband is here on a GWP and they are barely scraping through each week. She is desperate to contribute financially. She is desperate to become part of the community.
It reminds me to educate people on how the spouse entry into Ireland works.
If your partner is here on a General Work Permit, when the family join 12 months later, the partner (and kids) get a Stamp 3 residence card (IRP) from immigration.
Irelands Lost Skills: Reform Stamp 3 : I am a mother. I speak 3 different languages. Hospitality is on the #ineligible list. I recently studied as a healthcare assistant and now struggling to find a work placement to get the work experience needed to obtain my Diploma.
We can fill this gap. We live here, we have qualifications, skills and experience. We want to work! Please support the cause! If you are in IE on Stamp3 share your CV to [email protected].
