#nyc you want change? You need to donate to organizations that are training formerly incarcerated individuals to earn a living wage. Recidivism occurs because of “lack.” Donate and be part of the solution. 💯 #socialjustice
Refoundry is grateful for @glennEmartin matching grant/ donation. We need help, we always do, that’s how non-profits work, but what we offer is REAL CHANGE for those who were formerly incarcerated. Will you donate today? Feel free to ask us anything! #training
Contrary to popular belief, I don’t hate ALL non profits. Today I’m donating $10k as a matching grant, so every dollar you give I’ll double up to $10k. @Refoundry trains formerly incarcerated ppl to make home furnishings from discarded materials.

“When I was 16, I was remanded to Rikers with $1,500 bail, set by a judge who wanted to teach me a lesson. Three days later, I was stabbed four times.”
I’m eager to hear your thoughts about this op-ed. The author and I are very close.

My team is about to have a meeting about hugging. The right to hug. The fact that children throughout the country are not allowed to hug or touch their incarcerated parents in any way. I love that we're in a position to help. I hate that our country hurts so many people so much.
A better way to run prisons, by someone who did time in a U.S. prison, @AkilWaleed. Read it before you say some WOKE shit, please.
