I was particularly struck by Louise Cherrie, who called out wrongdoing in the salmon industry who said "we should all be open to scrutiny, I certainly am. When I did speak out, I did it with much trepidation but a lot of confidence - I knew I could not be challenged on the truth"

On speaking about the power of the public sector & opportunities to make change, CPSU Secretary Tas @thirza_white said that "There’s 45,000 public sector workers who are defenders of integrity (in Tasmania)".

Claire Bookles at the @EDOtas said "Tasmanians have a proud & long history of standing up for the environment and the place that they love" but calling for reform to the RTI laws "We need more information in the public".

A Tasmanian Public Service who can be reinvigorated with stronger value systems, better accountability & enforcement needed & under-utilised public interest disclosure laws. We also heard the public’s frustrations with broken laws and a general lack of integrity. (2/2)
