The #IthachaSaga has devastated me. Now I must draw something to do with #EpicTheMusical. This is not a choice, it is not an obligation, it is a fundamental truth.
Ha, burnout is such a pain. After I finally felt satisfied with my artstyle I thought I could get a bit more ambitious and do a full set of reference sheets. If nothing else it's certainly confirmed my artstyle is settled, and I can use it for personal use. Need to pull back...
Having practiced so long and so hard, I have finally found myself satisfied with my anatomy and my artstyle settling into its first real phase of viability~! Shading needs work, but what can be done but more #practice~ It's just a random character I made for practice, no lore.
Bluesky still seems to be figuring itself out, so I may as well keep posting to the side here just in case~ Shame so many websites don't seem to keep their momentum up after these Exoduses, but I have hopes. Shame their algorithm seems to be a bit mean to NSFW apparently...
@JakeArmorsmith I would adore that news~! I'd be so proud of you as a long time fan~! Whether I'd be first in line depends on the actual content, but I'd at least be curious~
After so long away, I come back to state that like many an artist, I'm throwing my weight behind Bluesky now like many an artist~ The last few Exoduses didn't make much progress, but given this is a mass exodus of artists specifically...
Come follow me~!

@ari_birb_ I intended this to be two messages long, whoops. =XPc
My point is I hope you can find your core as an artist again, I've been a big fan since I first laid eyes on your work~!
@ari_birb_ pinpointing why he hated his own work. It may not be the same reason as yours, but he found he hated it because he was throwing away the ideas he really liked because he thought they were "too easy." It's never too late to fix a problem, but first you need to know what it is.
@ari_birb_ If you have no goal, maybe you want more ambition?
If you have no desire, maybe you've lost sight of what made you enjoy drawing in the first place, like my husband did?
Maybe it's begun feeling like an obligation rather than a passion or hobby.
@JuliebeansterVT Its actually a reference to pre existing idol culture. Apparently one of the first (like, 80s old) proper idol groups in jpop had a high school club kind of theme, and when they used "Graduation" it just stuck and thanks to hololive theres a lot of terminology crossover.
at this point, I dont really know how to advertise myself.
a horny artist? A fan of historical warfare? the reason why you have rabbits in your feeds?
I guess I like drawing dinosaurs as well :]
@x_obsidia For me and my husband it was definitely like "Teenager's first 'deep' anime", the thing that hits the sweetspot of accessibility, edginess, and aesthetic to feel like a coming of age experience when it reality it's just trashy. I think every "anime generation" has a few of those.
