He creates opportunities by moving the ball through the lines. Admittedly, he’s off his best this season after a long injury but still a very important player.

@louorns @BaitVic Measure against his own standards of previous seasons, by any measure he's having an incredible season. And the simplest point is, that we have no one better there right now. To my eyes, vast majority of fault for goals sits in CB and CM.

@louorns @BaitVic Not being good on 1v1 is a bit of a myth though isn't it? Against Norwich he got 6 Tackles and Interceptions. (Next best player got 3). For the season he's leading on 70. Next is 41. He's a middling defensive player who has the same No of assists as Louza.

@BaitVic Porteous is our best defender, purely by the fact he gives 100% effort all the time. Martins could be one as he has obvious qualities but has questionable decision making.

@louorns Started amazingly but tailed off a bit. He’s a great goalline keeper but absolutely awful commanding his box. Bloke doesn’t come off his line for anything. I’d rather a keeper who can take the pressure off crosses and balls in the box. Bachmann just never will.
