@nytimes You know, I originally felt a little weird with how @nytimes counted the medals, but the more I think about it, the more I kind of like it. It puts into perspective how hard it is to even get on the podium, and puts focus on achieving rather than simply winning. (1)

If the problem is deemed “unfixable”, only THEN does he ditch. Better to complain and attempt change than pretend the food isn’t killing people.

@CompteGros @rolandgarros @rogerfederer “I’d prefer him not to play if he didn’t feel good” That’s why he withdrew from the tournament. He felt good going into it, but he didn’t want to push himself. If he weren’t 39 and recovering from surgery, then it wouldn’t be fair. It’s unfortunate, but understandable.
