@DriftSlave With the new Xanadu game, it's pretty likely that's the other game they'll release this next year. So Kai 2 is early 2027 at the very soonest if not Fall 2027.

Playing The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy after getting disappointed by Expedition 33 has been really refreshing.

It really delves into its scenario in a way I enjoy. Tons of other games are also a lot of talk about how choices matter but Hundred Line really walks it.

@Shock_and_Roll I think her stuff is a lot more interesting in retrospect come Kai's revelations. It's a lot more bittersweet once you know the extent of her situation. It also informs you a bit about why she acts the way she does

She's easily up there with Renne as one of the more tragic char.

Looking at this Kai post in the Falcom subreddit makes me realize a lot of people are playing Trails games as soon as they can because like they consume it like seasonal anime.

They're looking for that rush of hype more than anything.

Anyway, the Calvard has done a pretty great job with characters. They're still building them up and working towards more story for them despite the focus being elsewhere.

Gotta be paying attention to notice though, I guess.
