@gnievchenko@Happieststeve@mar_olczak Nah all good
i just thought @Happieststeve was not wrong in raising this disclaimer
(which agrees also with your other posts as you say)
Anyway thanks for reference, plan on including in some future research I will do
@Happieststeve@gnievchenko@mar_olczak 2nd remark/question
Mazzotti ETH's group is top expert on CCS & I had taken one of their CCS courses back in my studies
Their results are valid,
but do their results apply to commercial-scale systems or to lab systems?
--> certain degree of uncertainty from lab to commercial
@Happieststeve@gnievchenko Sorry but this time i agree with @Happieststeve
Look at picture-analysis below in energy transitions"making the hydrogen economy possible"
Methane leakages can increase almost 10-fold lifecycle ghg emissions @mar_olczak
Would be curious to learn more on their data/methodology
@KWitecka@RENEWIndustry Thanks for informative reference and good point
Besides cars,
are there other steel-intensive which EU consumers normally use?
As for electricity, would be curious on seeing the impact (e.g., trade balance in scenarios and whether the CBAM could be incorporated in scenarios)
@RonnieBelmans@gnievchenko Same question
Check out assumptions in the working paper we published at fsr
https://t.co/xJsAwTkxqx
+check assumptions on land use considered by JRC Enspreso, and type of modelling they do
@gnievchenko@Drake_Daniel_35@anunezjimenez@JesseJenkins
Are you aware of any good estimates on recent H2 demand by refineries in USA?
I tried looking into Net Zero America database but no clue there (that I was able to find).
Any references would be much appreciated
@gnievchenko@Drake_Daniel_35@anunezjimenez@JesseJenkins@caitlinswalec So far I estimated 8.0 MtH2/yr
I multiplied the EU H2 demand for refineries in 2020 : 4.1 MtH2/yr (Agora Energiewende)
By the ratio of refinery capacity in USA & in EU (1.92, based on data from https://t.co/xNwU59PBL1 & statistica)
Seems reasonable,
but references are welcome
@LeonNelen@JMGlachant@IA4EE @FSR_Energy @nicolorossettoP "MSRs are one of six reactor technologies selected by the Generation IV Forum (GIF), an initiative involving 13 countries focused on next generation nuclear power technologies, for further R&D."

@LeonNelen@JMGlachant@IA4EE @FSR_Energy @nicolorossettoP I am not familiar with this design
But isnt it one of generation IV reactors?
As far as I remember,
Coolant fluid has to consider several dimensions:
* heat transfer
* mass transfer
* reactor safety (how material reacts with radiative environment & behaviour in accident)
