Early days but 5 of Premier Leagues bottom 9 are competing in Europe this season. Personally don’t blame extra games yet, teams have had lots of time to recover (players not so much).

Wonder where they’ll end up?? Not become bad teams overnight.

Teacher retention would be much improved if teachers were given a set amount of unpaid days leave they could take each year. They miss important family/life events. It turns people away. 4 day weeks are not the answer. @DanJarvisMBE @andyburnham @MarieTidball @NEUnion @NASUWT

Many teachers work so hard and do the job out of a real love for supporting our young people.

The solution is that we need more teachers especially in our secondary schools.

Holidays are good on paper but missing family/life events because you can’t take a day off turns a lot of teachers away.
