@sufc_fab@simon_christie I can get decent flights to Cologne from Stansted (convenient for where I live) but can’t seem to find a decent priced flight for my son who’s Sheffield based. What are others doing?
The only recurring nightmare I have is me piloting a chopper, taking off in a city of skyscrapers and ascending too fast and hitting the sides of surrounding buildings. What would Nietzsche make of it? 🤫
@MitchellDHadley We no longer have a book shop in my small town in England, but my barber has my books on his counter, by the till. Sold as many there as I have on Amazon (which isn’t a lot tbh).
@FictionsByAj I edit as I write, then do another pass, then print & read the proof, then another edit pass, then the Beta readers get a go, then another edit, another proof read, then that’s usually enough.
@SimonCalder It costs me £500 return from Suffolk to Heathrow. Once got ripped off when living in Italy, Lenate to Milan centre back in 1996. Scumbag charged me 90,000 (Lira that is, so about £10 or £57 in today’s money). 😆
@AuthorGFAllen Yes. Only ever read one ebook on my iPad (apart from checking the layout of my own), and the one audiobook I listened to (Bob Mortimer) took about six months of various one hour car journeys to complete.
@BritToSwiss@mamboitaliano__ Funny thing was, the wonderful war museum was empty, me and two or three others. Yet the high street, with all the shops that are in the UK like M&S, Next and H&M was swarming… 🤷♂️
My rough timeline is to take this proof to read as an ordinary reader during my family holiday in June. Then finish the next edit before sending it to my beta readers in July. August & September for final editing. Launch in October. 🤞
@BritToSwiss@mamboitaliano__ With you 100%. Here’s two views of Valletta, Malta I took in the same
day, before and after the cruise ships docked. So glad I’m a morning person. 🥴
@RoadtripC I read it’s possible to move Avios to Qatar Airways, then to Marriott-Bonvoy, then to Virgin’s point scheme (or several other airlines) and you get 5,000 bonus Avios in the process. Might give it a try.
