🚨#BREAKING: A San Diego man is being HAILED AS A HERO after a driver in a stolen Tesla SMASHED INTO a young woman on a beach boardwalk and tried to run away...

...but one of the men he nearly hit CHASED HIM DOWN and PINNED HIM TO THE PAVEMENT until police arrived!!! 🇺🇸

His name is Alex Srour, on Monday afternoon, he was at Pacific Beach when a man in a stolen Tesla came flying down the boardwalk.

A walkway only TEN FEET wide, packed with families, kids, and tourists.

People were seen screaming and diving out of the way.

The driver plowed into a 25-year-old woman, breaking two of her ribs, fracturing two vertebrae, and leaving a gash across her stomach.

Then he ditched the car and ran.

Alex had nearly been hit by that same car, ,most people would have stopped to catch their breath.

Alex ran after him.

And he wasn't alone, 3 other total strangers ran right alongside him.

They caught him in a parking lot. Alex tackled him and pinned him to the ground.

They held him there until San Diego police arrived and hauled him away.

Here's what makes it hit even harder.

Police had already called off chasing the stolen car for the safety of the crowd, so when this man abandoned the Tesla and took off running through the people he'd just terrorized...

...the only thing standing between him and escape was 4 regular Americans who refused to let him get away with it.

The suspect is 39-year-old Juan Gonzaba.

Police say he was under the influence, in a stolen car, and he's now facing DUI, hit-and-run, auto theft, and evading police.

ALERT: Video of the crash that killed Cars and Coffee influencer, as well as a girl whom he had just met, obtained by @tmz.

James Wehr and Lexi Kramer were driving in Wehr’s McLaren when he accelerated and hit an apparent wet spot on the road.

The car lost control and slammed into a tree, causing the car to erupt in flames and killing both Wehr and Kramer.

Kramer, a Hooters calendar girl, flew out to Orange County to spend a first-date weekend with Wehr, and they attended his famous OC Cars and Coffee event.

According to Kramer's family, Kramer had a passion for “American muscle cars and motorcycles.”

Just an hour before the crash, Wehr posted an Instagram post of what appeared to be him being pulled over by police in Newport Beach.
