Aircraft Ditching Course for the aircrews of the NL Gov Air Services Division who fly the CL-415 Water Bomber.

Notice the Pilot Escape Hatch in the cockpit being utilized as a primary egress point. Both courses this week were excellent, highly motivated & enthusiastic aircrews.

Despite high winds, the crew of the CH-149 Cormorant Helicopter was able to hoist the patient from the deck and fly to Sydney to awaiting ambulance. A CC-130 Hercules from 413 Sqn, 14 Wing Greenwood, also assisted.
