@TooMuchMortons_ I just worry about trading Miller if it’s the same mindset Preller had at the deadline last year. Obviously, he was getting ahead of the Winter with the Laureano and Fermin deals. Trading Miller for bodies for 2027 wont be worth it unless they are actually impactful

@RonCho88 Counterpoint: if the players making the big bucks actually played up to their salaries this team would be in a much different place. Series after series the top 4-5 guys on every other team usually outperforms our big dogs. The money freeze from ownership didnt help tho

@TooMuchMortons_ It’s been an issue for a long time now, hate to say it but it’s probably more just the make up of the stars than anything the org can do. Manny is unbothered and Tatis/Merrill look like they are going through some sort of overwhelmed distress at times. And Bogaerts? 🤦‍♂️

@TooMuchMortons_ At least with 2023 there were luck related things you could point to. This team just stinks. Having real conversations with myself about taking 2-3 full weeks off of watching. Merrill/Machado/Bogaerts are just hopeless and Tatis is still off. We are past the slump phase

@BenHigginsSD It’s a rough watch. I love the guy but never seen a player go through so many looooong rough stretches that can only be summed up by saying “what is he doing out there?” The swing this year looks crazy. Is it physical? Is he broken? Is it mechanical?
