@infinitehorus To be fair to Labour, the reason why we have so much debt is to bail out the elites and then they bill the poor with austerity.
2008, Covid and the Russia/Iran war are all elite schemes that caused us to borrow trillions.
@dr3w8dat@prolifefrenchie She shouldn't be, but unfortunately bad people do bad things, like raping people. The resolution to a bad person doing a bad thing is not to murder an innocent third party.
When you attack your base, even slightly, there will be pushback.
That's how it is.
Simple stuff.
That is why Sargon is sat scratching his head, wondering why people are lashing out at him, and why Harrison Pitt and Catherine Blaiklock are receiving praise.
Support and listen to your base, it is that simple.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 That is just a fact about ourselves - an immutable characteristic that we can't change, so pretending that we're somehow engaging in colour-based discrimination because we recognise a fact about our own native population is silly and racist against ethnically British people.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 If a widespread genetic mutation somehow arises in the population that changes our pigmentation to anything else for whatever reason, we would still be British. Being British is not contingent on colour, it just happens that right now, all British people are White.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 There are hundreds of millions of White people who are not British, and there are billions of non-whites who are not British. What unites them all in their non-Britishness is absence of British heritage, not colour.
That's why it makes no sense to say it's about colour.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 So being non-British is an *inference* you can make about someone who has black skin due to the fact that British people do not have black skin, but it's not the skin that *determines* whether or not they are British. It's just a fact that British people are White.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 Polish people born in Britain have White skin, are generally Chrsitian, and their birthplace is Britain. So for Steve Laws, who thinks they are not British, how is it "about skin colour, religion and birthplace"?
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 And if there was some sort of disease like a reverse of vitiligo, and a British person had that, then he could still be ethnically British despite having black skin. That's why it's nothing to do with colour.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 Being British is not INHERENTLY about having light skin, it just happens to be the case currently that there are no British people with black skin. So if you see someone who is black you can safely say that yes, they are not ethnically british.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 You dodged the question. Would England still be England if it was 90% Scottish? Or conversely would a 90% English Scotland be okay with you?
We can closely collaborate as sister nations whilst still respecting each other's dignity and uniqueness as separate nations.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 And before you go on about being Scottish again and how you don't agree with me using the word "English", I am only using these examples because I'm English. The same premise works the exact same way for the Scottish people in Scotland too.
@TheRoyalStnd78@JenkinsLei70103@BGoodun76420 Just because English people are White, that doesn't mean that prioritising the English is to do with White skin. The reason Black people can't be English is the same reason Polish people can't be English, because they don't have English lineage. Simple as. Not colour-related.
