Just watched a humpback whale breach a few times off Cape Spear. It was a bit too far away for a really good photo but the people in the tour boat nearby got a great show.

On the first dawn of the Ferryland Iceberg's grounding, a mist blanketed the ocean. One of the interesting aspects of photographing icebergs is how they change over time and how different they can be from various angles. Throw in some changing conditions and different times of day, one would thing it was a different iceberg altogether.

With the first iceberg just off Bonavista it looks like we are getting an early start to the Iceberg season. I thought I would share a shot from a few years. I shot this one off the coast of Grates Cove in 2019.
