Ukraine immediately launched the most intense energy interdiction campaign in the history of the war, knocking out 40% of Russia's oil export capacity and costing Moscow at least $2.3 billion in March alone.

Here is what makes this notable: Ukraine was already hitting Russian oil infrastructure before February 28, targeting inland refineries supplying Russian forces. The moment the Iran war started, the TARGET SHIFTED. Strikes moved to EXPORT facilities specifically, ports, terminals, pipelines, the infrastructure that generates revenue, not battlefield fuel.

That is not a tactical adjustment. That is a strategic pivot.

Netanyahu has spent months lobbying EU capitals to treat Iran as a shared threat. Europe has resisted. But $108 oil and collapsing Russian export capacity have a way of changing political calculations that diplomatic meetings cannot.
