I look at this photo and can’t help but wonder what was going through their minds.

They were trapped above the impact zones of the World Trade Center, standing at shattered windows, desperately searching for air, help, or some impossible way out.

Did they call home? Did they pray? Did they tell the person beside them they were scared? Did they still believe someone was coming to save them?

We know how the story ends. They didn’t.

But in this photograph, they didn’t know that yet. They were still sons, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers and friends—still hoping.

That is the part of 9/11 that absolutely breaks me.

May we never allow these faces to become just another photograph in a history book. Never forget. 🇺🇸💔

In Würzburg tötete ein Somalier in einem Woolworth drei Frauen und verletzte mehrere Menschen schwer.
Im Aschaffenburger Stadtpark tötete ein Afghane einen zweijährigen Jungen und einen 41-jährigen Mann, dessen zweijähriger Sohn das mitansehen musste.
Im bayerischen Regen tötete ein Somalier einen Mann mit über hundert Messerstichen und enthauptete ihn.
In Vilshofen griff ein Eritreer einen elfjährigen Jungen mit einem Messer an und verletze ihn schwer.
In Nürnberg gibt es Grooming Gangs, die minderjährige Mädchen mit Drogen gefügig machen und sie vergewaltigen. Die Tatverdächtigen stammen zu größten Teilen aus den Asylherkunftsländern.
In Pfaffenhofen vergewaltigte ein Nigerianer eine Ukrainerin am Bahnhof und verletzte sie schwer.
In Memmingen erstach ein Palästinenser mit Duldung wegen ungeklärter Identität einen 14-jährigen Jungen.
In München fuhr ein Afghane in eine Verdi-Demo und tötete eine Mutter und ihre zweijährige Tochter.

Nur ein paar Beispiele, die Liste lässt sich sehr lange fortführen. Söder hätte offensichtlich gerne, dass man sich an derartige Barbarei gewöhnt.
