This beautiful mural at our Scholar’s Rock community is hard to miss! Painted in 2002 by Indiana University graduate Brett Volpp, the mural is an adaptation of Raffaello Sanzio’s “School of Athens.” The mural was chosen to represent the scholarly society recreated in Bloomington.

Back when SummerHouse was still the SummerHouse Inn, the cast and crew of Breaking Away (1978) stayed here while they were filming. Breaking Away is a classic Bloomington movie that heavily features the Little 500, hence our lobby theme!
