Had a great week of camp and loved seeing each player improve every day. Thanks to all who attended and our varsity players who served all week as coaches to our young War Eagles!!
@DelaneyELDiana @SherryTeacher@MichelleMSlaton Wow! I knew about Immersive Reader within Word but had no idea you could use this tool in Teams! That’s awesome!!
@AnganaGhate Cool! That’s a great option. For teachers already using @Seesaw , messages default to the language that your phone is set to. So teachers can send a message in English and families can see it in their preferred language, and vice versa.
Elements of teaching vocabulary:
1. Student-friendly definition
2. Playing with words using a scenario + image connected to the scenario
3. Provide a sentence frame WITH the target word to scaffold using the target word

@ValentinaESL@Seidlitz_Ed A3. The hardest thing for teachers is creating assessments that equitably assessing content learning rather than reading comprehension skills.

A4: I am thankful for all of the teachers I get to work with this year. Thankful for @amcsummey for all she does for her ELs, @AnganaGhate for always sharing resources and professional articles, and especially @NewlinTracie for showing me the ropes this year! #forsythpln
A3: I am thankful for @Seesaw! It is an easy way to communicate with families about what’s happening in the classroom AND automatically translates to your device’s set language #forsythpln
