BREAKING: GOP Sens. John Cornyn and Thom Tillis announce they have reached an agreement with Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche over the proposed anti-weaponization fund, clearing the way for his confirmation.

The senators had opposed Blanche over the Justice Department's anti-weaponization fund but said the DOJ has now formally ordered the program's termination.

Cornyn and Tillis said they now look forward to advancing Blanche's nomination through the Senate Judiciary Committee.

As I said in my remarks, “in this time of mourning, we’re reminded of God’s comfort and that His plan is perfect. None of us know when it’s our time. But we’re reminded that our only eternal hope is found in our Savior.”

Last week, my bill - the Improving Travel for Military Members Act - unanimously passed the U.S. House.

As @Militarydotcom correctly points out, More than 1.3 million Americans currently serve on active duty, many of whom travel under deployment orders, PCS moves, or emergency assignments with little notice. Additionally, nearly 889,000 children are part of active-duty military families, marking another challenge associated with air travel.

The Improving Travel for Military Members Act is a simple, practical step to show our military families that we respect and honor their service.

It was touching to speak at the National Guard Association of the United States mental health symposium. I discussed my firsthand experience with treating service-related mental health issues, my advocacy for the National Guard, and how I plan to serve our nation’s oldest military force.
