After 52 years when Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974 ….
💥Today, a historic resolution for Cyprus has been adopted by the the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality of European Parliament
“For the first time at EU level, it gives voice to the women and girls of Cyprus who became victims of (sexual) violence during the 1974 Turkish invasion, and
clearly recognises the crimes committed by the Turkish army against them. This is a vote for truth, dignity and justice, and we are very proud of this initiative,” says MEP @loucas_fourlas.

19 May is not only a Greek day of mourning
#OTD 19 May Hellenism and the world commemorate the Remembrance day of the #PonticGenocide against the Greeks of Pontus (Black Sea) . It was perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire and the Young Turks between 1914-1923 against indigenous Pontic Greeks, the same time that Armenians and Syriac/Assyrian Christians in Asia Minor were also targeted for annihilation.
Israeli Analyst ShayGal with a particularly harsh, politically charged, and historically incisive post about May 19, refers to the day of remembrance for the Genocide of the Pontic Greeks, linking it to the very ideological foundation of the modern Turkish state itself.
Modern Turkey was built in Asia Minor on the blood, bones, and stolen wealth of millions slaughtered, enslaved, forcibly converted to Islam, and dispossessed.
Cities were renamed, churches turned into trophies, languages silenced, villages wiped from maps, and entire peoples devoured so a single “pure” national myth could rise.
It was historical cannibalism: a state that ate its own past and called the digestion “nation-building.”
Yet the truth is breaking through.
Modern DNA testing is shattering the Kemalist and Islamist propaganda, forcing younger Turks to confront the real, multi-ethnic Anatolia their grandparents actually came from — Greek, Armenian, Assyrian, Kurdish, Laz, and more — buried under decades of denial.
💥“Hitler understood the usefulness of forgotten crimes. The line attributed to him before the invasion of Poland still burns through history:
“Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?”
We remember the dead.
We honour the survivors.
We expose the lie.
Because memory is resistance.
And some foundations are built on graves that will never stay silent.
History explains today’s Turkish irredentist behavior and arrogance to complete the job of its founders.Modern Janissaries who don’t recognize and be at peace with their historical past
