@jacobnsbrier Again, I have a history and background with this that you simply don’t. That does give me some authority. That being said, I did begin all of this by simply “wondering” something. They changed their position, and I am offering an explanation, backed by experience, as to why.
Have to wonder if one group represents the views of law enforcement while the other is being told by the Governor’s Office to take a particular position

@jacobnsbrier I wasn’t being casual. I stand by every word I say. I just believe it’s possible to disagree with the substance of what is said, and you feel that that automatically means I’m calling into the question the integrity of someone.
@jacobnsbrier@MikeWChip@SanacoreChris The GA - generally - refrains from letting exceptions make the rules. But this is URI we are talking about, not lawmaking. They won’t get days off in the real world. Good to get used to that early.
@SanacoreChris Thanks - it’s been lost in the whole “we wrangled discounts and cash, etc” from Deloitte. They aren’t dummies, and are much better at financial deals than building technology.

But what do all of the out of state students who vote by absentee do on the day off? Don’t they want to learn and get the most out of their student debt?
Certainly in line w the Democratic M.O. of "energizing the youth" by giving them "free stuff" (an entire day off for their civic duty, which takes 45 mins max.) Want kids to "rally for change?" Give 'em a day off from school.. they'll rally for whatever you tell them to.
What, exactly, is a “DRE test” and how does it definitively establish by how much one is operating under the influence? Doesn’t a drug recognition expert - not a “test” - merely recognize one may be under the influence of something? What if it is a legal substance?
Law enforcement has often been opposed to marijuana legalization. But Manni says he supports it because of the prohibition on home growing, funding for police drug recognition experts (DREs) and license suspension for drivers who refuse DRE test
