I’m proud to stand with President Trump to deliver real results to OH-02:
✅ Tax deductions on American-made cars
✅ Historic tax cuts for working families
✅ Lower the cost of living
More money in your pocket, high paying jobs, and a government that works for working people 🇺🇸
Charity and I had the pleasure of joining the Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Farm to Table Dinner to celebrate our local farmers, growers, small businesses, and community leaders who make Southern Ohio such a special place to live and work!
Thank you to everyone who worked to make this evening possible, and congratulations to each outstanding business who was recognized with an award for the high-quality services they provide to our community.
Supporting our local farmers and small businesses means investing in the future of Southern Ohio, and it was a pleasure joining some of them for an evening of celebration!
I stopped by the Old Canal Barber Shop in downtown Waverly for a quick haircut between meetings!
Thanks to barber Eric Williams for cutting my hair, even though there isn’t too much of it 😂
This week, I heard from local advocates from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society about the critical research being conducted on this disease.
They shared the impact that federal government funding has and how important it is for patients managing the disease.
In Congress, I will continue speaking up for healthcare needs in our community to ensure Ohioans are equipped to live healthier lives.
It was a pleasure talking with Concerned Veterans for America about how Congress can best support the needs of Buckeye veterans in our own communities!
In Congress, I will always have the backs of the heroes who have served our country 🇺🇸
Rural hospitals must be protected for the Appalachian families who depend on them the most.
I was proud to introduce the Defend Rural Health Act with @RepCarolMiller to do just that!

Today I stopped by Holston’s Baking Company, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary!
Founded by Air Force veteran Amy Holston, this bakery has grown from a home-based venture into an established local business with multiple Milford locations. Since opening its first storefront in 2021, Holston’s has become known for its handmade cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, pastries, and other desserts.
We’re grateful for incredible local businesses like this one that serve our communities and make our region so unique! In Congress, I’ll continue advocating for common sense legislation to allow our family businesses to thrive.
It was great checking out the Meigs County Fair this afternoon!
Charity and I enjoyed talking with folks and hearing from several of the talented 4H and FFA exhibitors.
Thank you to Ashley Kasler for the tour!
Every dollar stolen by a fraudster is a dollar stolen from a vulnerable American.
We must codify the work of @WHFraudTF and make it clear that the free ride is OVER.
It was great chatting with Plant Superintendent Eric Sharb and his team at the Logan Water Treatment Plant in Hocking County recently!
Mayor Greg Fraunfelter and I stopped by to see the critical work underway that’s providing safe, reliable drinking water to residents across Logan.
As the Vice Chair of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee of @TransportGOP, I’m working in Congress to ensure every Buckeye family has access to clean water. Thank you to Eric and his entire team for their commitment to keeping this critical infrastructure running to serve our community!
The Logan Theater brings a nearly century-old downtown landmark back into active use for residents and the millions of visitors who come to Hocking Hills.
I appreciated getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the theater runs from Executive Director Sadie Burger and President of the Logan Theater Board, James Martin!
This gem is a prime example of the historic preservation and tourism investment here in our Appalachian region. It’s great seeing such a strong effort to preserve the spots that make our community so unique!
It was great to be in Vinton County for the Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival that brings people from across Ohio and beyond! Thank you to Bea Mills for showing my team and me around.
From local vendors and small businesses to live entertainment and family-friendly activities, events like this showcase the Appalachian pride that makes Ohio’s Second Congressional District so special. I got to meet the world-famous Turtle Man, Diamond Man, and talk with so many local vendors!
We’re grateful to everyone who worked hard to make this festival a success. There’s no shortage of adventure in the Hocking Hills!
This week my team and I stopped by the Georgetown Post office to say hello to staff and thank them for the hard work they do every day!
I was proud to have the House of Representatives recently pass my resolution renaming the post office in honor of President Ulysses S. Grant, a local legend who called this town home.
We then popped over to President Grant’s boyhood home and received a tour from the knowledgeable staff there. Southern Ohio has a rich history, and it’s my honor to continue advocating for the needs of small towns like Georgetown in Congress!
@AndurilTech is building the future of American defense right here in Columbus.
Great to visit their facility and see firsthand how Ohioans are manufacturing the next generation of defense technology, including the Fury autonomous aircraft.
Today, @SenJonHusted, @RepMikeCarey, and I received a tour of @anduriltech from founder Palmer Luckey!
Developing autonomous defense systems like drones, aircraft, submarines, sensors, and AI-enabled command-and-control technology, @Anduril is creating thousands of jobs for skilled workers right in our own backyard.
It was great getting a behind the scenes tour of Arsenal-1 in Columbus and seeing firsthand the incredible economic impact that local defense manufacturing is making in our Buckeye state!
Yesterday my team and I received a tour of Meldahl Locks and Dam and saw firsthand how @USACEHQ helps keep our local economy moving forward.
The incredible staff shared how transporting goods on a 15-barge tow is equivalent to two 108-car trains or 1,050 large semi trucks, saving companies countless dollars and preventing wear and tear on our highways.
The Ohio River plays a huge role in our local and state economy, and it was great to see it in action!
If you want to drive an 80,000-lb commercial vehicle, you should be able to read the roads signs.
I’m proud to lead the charge to uphold CDL standards and Make American Roads Safe Again 🇺🇸
OPINION: A license to endanger - @PatronisFL
One year ago today, three Floridians never made it home. Their lives were taken in a tragic crash outside Fort Pierce after an illegal immigrant driving an 18-wheeler made an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike. Investigators later found that the driver had entered our country illegally and, despite having no legal immigration status, obtained a commercial driver’s license in California.
Ohio AAP remains committed to supporting evidence-based vaccine recommendations and ensuring families have trusted, accurate information. Read our full statement below.
A big thanks to Taylor Stepp, Director of Gallia County Economic Development, for the update on the Southeast Ohio Spec Building Site!
Gallia County is developing quickly and it’s great to see the growth that will invigorate our local economy and workforce.
With 50,000 square feet that’s expandable up to 250,000 square feet, this site sits on 10 acres within a 77 acre industrial park. In Congress, I’ll continue advocating for common sense policies that allow our local business community to thrive.
Ohio’s incredible farmers work around the clock to ensure Buckeye families have food on their tables.
And with 96% of farms in Ohio’s Second Congressional District being family farms, our local agriculture industry hits close to home.
THANK YOU to every Ohio farm worker for the hard work you do every day! 🚜
