To be anti-trafficking means to be pro-resources. Ensuring undocumented survivors have access to resources is a moral imperative. This bill should pass without delay. @NYSenate @CarlHeastie @GovKathyHochul
As Chair of the Assembly’s Subcommittee on Human Trafficking, I was proud to launch the New York Connect And Recognize Every Survivor (CARES) Act on Thursday. My bill, A8318 with @SenatorCCleare would provide undocumented victims of crime including trafficking with resources.

This article’s photo is misleading. Data confirms that bail reform did not cause gun violence. And, bail-reform roll backs will not prevent or reduce gun violence. The “gun safety laws” that took effect at the announcement pictured were unrelated to bail. @politico
South Africa is getting closer to decriminalizing sex work to address violence against workers & reduce STI transmissions. Decrim is recognized by leading harm reduction advocates as the best way to empower workers. 2023 must be the year NY passed comprehensive decrim as well
The .@NYPDnews is supposedly an anti terrorism unit. Today, they're harassing, brutalizing, & arresting @nycforabortion advocates who are trying to protect people as they try to access an abortion clinic. @NYCMayor@NYCSpeakerAdams dismantle the SRG

This powerful piece by our comrades @JaredTruEsqueer, @CeciliaGentili & @bridges4_life is the clearest argument for why we need to end NYPD Vice & invest in services for sex workers.
We're honored to work with them, & follow their lead, in this fight.
