It was a pleasure to welcome the New Year of 2026 with close friends and loved ones and a clear intention. I collaborated with Curtis Starks from Eleven 18 Experience to launch a Wellness & Health Activation initiative aimed at encouraging healthier habits through fitness.
Today was an uplifting and heartwarming day as we collaborated with CCDN, the Black Contractors Association Al Chapter, and Toys for Tots to provide toys and coats to over 800 families for Christmas. A big thank you to all the volunteers, including Plenty in My Purse.
My last District 58 Quarterly meeting for the year was amazing. I want to Thank House Minority Leader, Rep. Anthony Daniels, House Majority Leader, Rep. Scott Stadthagen and Senate Majority Leader, Senator Steve Livingston for panel participation and giving great information.
Yesterday, we had a fantastic discussion with Dr. Condoleezza Rice about innovation, collaboration, and the future of our state. The conversation was incredibly informative, and I am truly excited about the economic growth happening in Alabama.
We had a fantastic and enlightening meeting with Dr. Gonsoulin, the superintendent of the Jefferson County Board of Education and the current Superintendent of the Year.
I want to express my gratitude to my Sorors of Alpha Beta Xi Omega Chapter for recognizing me along with other Silver and Golden Sorors. It was an amazing Christmas event!
Together, we offered wellness and financial literacy classes for SINGLE MOTHERS. The event also included providing Christmas dinner, purses containing a lipstick, mirror, and a journal, gift cards, and checks to cover Toys from Santa.
