Today we pause to remember D-Day, one of the most pivotal moments of World War II. 10,300 Americans gave their lives to secure freedom for generations to come. We honor their sacrifice and extraordinary courage.

The Insurance Committee convened yesterday to begin discussions on our interim charges. It was a highly informative hearing that examined the current state of Texas’ insurance market and explored practical solutions to the challenges many Texans are facing. We heard from a range of experts on health benefits for small and mid-sized employers, the impact of federal health policy, and a comprehensive market overview from the Texas Department of Insurance.
Without question, one of the drivers of healthcare costs is the number of illegals who are receiving free healthcare services that citizens are asked to subsidize either directly or indirectly. We must collect the right data to inform policies that will ensure the benefits of living in Texas are for Texas residents only.
So thankful we were able to meet and discuss these topics so that we can start making changes to benefit Texans and keep their healthcare costs from rising.
Thankful that the jury did their duty today and that there will be justice for Athena. The gallows are too humane for this man and his crime.
Thankful for the tireless work of District Attorney James Stainton and his incredible team.
Please continue to pray for peace beyond understanding for Athena's family.

This morning I was able to see the devastation in Runaway Bay firsthand, and the damage was profound. So thankful for @WiseCountyOEM and the incredible job that they have been doing coordinating the incident response. It's amazing to see so many across our county and even the state pouring in to secure the area, fix power lines, and help residents deal with the devastation.
As stated, the emergency response is being coordinated by @WiseCountyOEM and @TDEM. However, should there be any further issues that we can help with or even any questions that need answered, my office staff is manning the phones today. Please feel free to reach out to my office if you should need our help:

I am proud to stand with @RepArrington and conservative leaders across the state in support of House Resolution 50. This resolution reaffirms a core constitutional truth: under Article I, Section 10, states retain the sovereign power to protect their territory and exclude those who have no lawful right to be present, especially when facing invasion.
States are not defenseless. They have the inherent right to defend themselves against invasion. The federal government was never intended to be the supreme arbiter of its own jurisdiction or the powers of the states or the people.

Incredible morning at the inaugural meeting of the North Central Texas Sheriffs Coalition. So thankful for all of the brave men and women who stand as the first and last line of defense for so many rural counties across North Texas.
Thank you to @GovHotWheels_TX for coming to Wise County to commemorate the creation of this organization that will help to drive policy that will ensure that our Sheriffs Offices have the tools and resources to ensure that they can do the crucial work of keeping rural Texas safe.
What an incredible way to start out the day with @courtney_carp51 and @TanParkerTX at Argyle West Elementary. We were PRIVILEGED to see the incredible work that is being done by Mrs. Murphy and her staff, who pour out their hearts to connect with students in this special education classroom. Such a great group of children whose needs are being met by loving hearts day in and day out.
Thank you to Dr. Carpenter for inviting us and ensuring that legislators are fully engaged with the challenges facing @ArgyleISD, as well as the many successes.
A few weeks ago, after spending time in Mrs. Murphy's class at AWE, I reached out to the state legislators who serve Argyle ISD and invited them to join me for a campus visit. Senator @TanParkerTX and Representative @RepHopper were able to join me today!
I am grateful they accepted my invitation and spent a couple of hours in one of our self-contained special education classrooms. Their willingness to be present in our district, engaging with our incredible students and the dedicated teachers and paraprofessionals who serve them, was meaningful and impactful.
Moments like these are a powerful reminder that our legislators have a vested interest in public education and in ensuring we provide the most appropriate learning environments for all students—especially those who are most vulnerable. Whether through resources or policy, these conversations matter.
Thank you to Representative Hopper, Senator Parker, their teams, and Mrs. Murphy and her staff at Argyle West Elementary for warmly welcoming us into a full and vibrant classroom. We had the opportunity to observe Mrs. Gibson leading speech learning activities, engage with students, and have thoughtful dialogue with Mrs. Murphy, who is modeling and leading incredible work each day.
We value this partnership and look forward to building on this momentum as we approach the 90th Legislative Session in January 2027. Together, we can all make a difference!

It didn’t end with the Crucifixion of Christ!
On the third day, Jesus Christ, the Savior of ALL who call upon His name, defeated death, Hell, and the grave, rising from the dead.
Now Christ sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, waiting to come again, in His complete glory to judge all men, both of the living and the dead.
He will establish his eternal Kingdom, which will have no end, and Evil will ultimately be destroyed.
Rejoice because the Tomb is empty, for Our Lord is Risen Indeed!
Happy Easter from the Hoppers!
Today is Good Friday - the darkest and brightest day in all of history.
Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God, was nailed to the cross. He took the full weight of God’s wrath against our sin so it wouldn’t fall on us.
Just like the Passover lamb in Egypt, whose blood caused God’s judgment to pass over the Israelites, Jesus became our Passover Lamb. His blood was shed so God’s wrath could pass over everyone who trusts in Him.
He was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.
At the cross Jesus cried, “It is finished!”
Because of what happened on Good Friday, we can stand forgiven before God - not because of anything we’ve done, but because of what Jesus has done for us.
Remember the cross. Thank Jesus for His blood that cleanses us from our iniquity. Because Christ died, we can truly live.
The Lamb has been slain.
The price has been paid.
Death is defeated.

While I look forward to TCEQ denying this permit application, my office stands ready to pursue legal action to ensure that this misconceived project does not move forward.
You can't act like a savage and revel in the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk and expect to continue to attend a public university in Texas.
Mary Catherine is a brave young woman who defied her natural instinct to avoid conflict and instead stood up for good in the face of evil.
@UNTsocial should take decisive action on this matter and should be taking the threats against Mary Catherine as seriously as my #HD64 office is taking them.

Our office filed four bills for the special session that aim to secure our elections and expand property tax relief for rural Texans who live in priority groundwater management areas.
Looking forward to getting to work for the wins that Texans expect and deserve.
We are on the ground in Kerrville working with local and state officials regarding the current emergencies. We will do our best to keep everyone updated. There will be a press conference at 3:00pm.
Amanda and I are praying for all of y'all who were affected by the storms last night and praying for safety for all who will be working hard today in the aftermath. Please feel free to give me a call if there is anything that our office can do to help in any way.
My office sent this letter directly to the @TXMilitary on March 3rd and received no response. Today, 19 Texas House Representatives have signed onto this letter to the Texas Military Department.
