Rural healthcare is key to keeping our communities strong. I recently visited Fluvanna Healthcare Center to meet with the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff who work every day to provide quality care close to home.

I had a productive meeting with constituents from the Home Builders Association of Virginia to discuss ways Congress can help lower housing costs and expand housing opportunities. Housing affordability remains a top priority, and I appreciated hearing directly from Virginia builders about the challenges facing our communities. We also spoke about several of my bills aimed at combatting this issue like my American Dream Act and Home Savings Act.
Last week I met with the Hardwood Federation to discuss this years Farm Bill items and my bill The Agricultural and Forestry Hauling Efficiency Act. Thank you for the productive conversation and for advocating on behalf of our hardwood producers.
Tracy and I were deeply saddened to learn of the B-52 accident earlier today. We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families of the brave service members who lost their lives. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time, and we are grateful for their loved ones’ service and sacrifice.
